Well Christmas and New Years are finally over and I can say mine were good...
I was able (with the help of my sister) to convince our family that only the kids would be purchased for this Christmas. I really enjoyed that less money was spent and just watching the kids open things was very nice.
New Years, well we did something different there too. We went to the Branson Landing and again had a nice time.
So with that all said here is something I've been thinking about for the coming year...
I was not going to make a resolution but I have changed my mine. My goal is to continue to be less wasteful. We've recycled for years and years. Last year I added reusable shopping bags to my list of things to do and I love that change! I do still sometimes get plastic because we use those for trash bags. But the convience of the reuseable bags is wonderful! It did take a little getting used to taking the bags in but now it's habit!
And now this year... well, I haven't figured out how yet but I'm going to make other changes to our lives that will hopefully save us money too. I know I really want to create a couple of raised bed gardens and I'd like to use junk we have around our house to create the structure. If you have any suggestions I am open to ideas.
So that's my start of a resolution I plan be less wasteful this year and look for ways to reuse items and not just trash them. So I will try to keep you updated & see how it all goes.
Happy New Year!
